Complaints

Patients with a malignant liver tumor have various complaints. More than 80% of patients with hepatocellular carcinoma have liver cirrhosis. These patients are often in a screening program and are often familiar with some complaints for a longer period of time. Patients usually present to a doctor, where these symptoms are:

  • Severe fatigue and loss of condition
  • Stomach ache
  • Pain in the right upper abdomen, when applying light pressure
  • Bad appetite
  • Unexplained weight loss.

The symptoms in patients with bile duct cancer are similar, although they often appear at a later stage. In addition to the above complaints, the following symptoms play a role:

  • Jaundice
  • Slimming
  • Nausea and vomiting
